Summing up the British approach to Iran here:
1) US asks to use British bases, we say no.
2) Tell everyone we weren't involved and hope they leave us alone.
3) oh dear, they didn't leave us alone. They're shooting missiles at us.
4) claim that the only way to stop this and protect British citizens is to destroy the missiles at source.
5) allow the Americans to use our bases to destroy the missiles at source.
6) refuse to help destroy the missiles at source, even though we just said destroying them at source is the only way to end the threat to British citizens.
7) tell everyone we're not involved and hope they'll leave us alone.
Average baseline that is not adjusted for trend will give different results.
Just imagine the SCALE OF FUDGING by Wrigley Schofield.
They shifted the birth rate for the whole of England from ~28 per 1000 for 1814-1818 to ~42 per 1000, an increase of OVER FORTY PER CENT!
The argument is that raw parish data are defective, so they applied their "correction" and "inflations" to fix it.
I think that doing such tinkering is DANGEROUS, particularly if it leads to the most bizarre and impossible conclusions.
This is EXACTLY how "climate science" operates - VAST DISTORTIONS OF RAW DATA.

mortality.watch/explorer?c=P…
Here's the other implication of Wrigley-Schofield, as pointed out by Lindert in 1983: that FOOD DOESN'T MATTER (or matters very little).
Apparently all the evidence about the link between malnutrition and child mortality (there are tens if not hundreds of papers that prove this) is wrong - and the English people magically escaped this law.
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/0014498383900189
Basically you have to believe the IMPOSSIBLE in order to accept W-S's results - that despite [PROVEN] extreme malnutrition (if not starvation) of more than half the population by 1700, English infants were not dying and malnourished women were producing a lot of babies!
And apparently this result can only be deduced from "statistical corrections" of the data. That's because raw parish data clearly shows high infant mortality.
Climate "change" is full of FUDGING of original temperature data with "statistical corrections", to create results that the "scientists" desire. In this case, we have a similar distortion of original data to prove some weird "desired" result. (I have no idea what's W-S's ideological driver behind such a peculiar result)
so, context does not matter? only textual correctness?
"former british army cook, noted fruitarian, and longtime champion of ugandan education reform idi amin died today in saudi arabia of medical complications..."
"a noted timely train enthusiast who did so much to elevate italy to global notice, benito was killed with his mistress clara in the village of guilino..."

Imagine if we had faced down the nutters and gone for shale gas 10 years ago.
The UK could now be producing more than it needs, lowering energy prices and exporting a surplus.
Lowering our carbon foot print and saving a fortune.

Instead of the flowery obit for a dictator, read this NYT Opinion piece that interviewed 40 doctors from around Iran to recount the scale and severity of the regime’s mass murder of protestors.
This should be remembered as Khamenei’s last major act.

Astounding
BBC peddling IRGC talking points without hesitation, weeks after resisting reporting death count of January Massacres in Iran. Shame
The local Palestine Solidarity Campaign is advertising a “Hands Off Iran” protest today in Brighton. One of their followers made a concerning suggestion to target local synagogues. They haven’t deleted it even though they limited responses. This is ALARMING.

🔴 BREAKING:
The regime in Iran has now confessed that the IRGC mistakenly bombed an Iranian school yesterday, killing many children.
To all the legacy media and pro regime influencers who peddled your fake news:
RETRACT and DELETE.

And — like THAT — they suddenly care about Iranians!
Not because of 47 years under a brutal dictatorship that has destabilized the Middle East, killed Americans, and massacred tens of thousands of Iranians — along with others in the region — through its proxies.
No. They suddenly care only because they (falsely) think some Iranians died as collateral damage from a U.S./IDF strike.
What was true for Gazans is true for Iranians: they don’t care about either of us. We’re pawns — useful only when we die and they can spin a narrative blaming the West, the U.S., or Jews.
A frank 1980s study of Oxford's Pakistani community lays bare the cultural backdrop to the rape gangs scandal – and, as Will Solfiac argues, shows how Britain's institutions looked the other way rather than face uncomforta https://dailysceptic.org/2026/03/01/grooming-gangs-and-the-failure-of-social-science/

Along with women finally having the possibility to live freely, hopefully gay men of Iran also now have the chance & state funded castration never ever happens again.

I’m old enough to remember when the BBC wouldn’t report the number of Iranians slaughtered by the regime because they “couldn’t independently verify it”.
This is how the Washington Post eulogized the dirt bag who murdered 40,000 innocent civilians this month. This is not satire:
"With his bushy white beard and easy smile, Ayatollah Khamenei cut a more avuncular figure in public than his perpetually scowling but much more revered mentor, and he was known to be fond of Persian poetry and classic Western novels, especially Victor Hugo’s 'Les Misérables.' ... Some Iranians who knew Ayatollah Khamenei before he became supreme leader described him as a 'closet moderate'' ...
My mom has a small business in Germany making 300k in revenue per year.
- 150k are taxes,
- 25k in tax attorney costs
- a full work week for tax related bureaucracy
- 50k for Employees (and their taxes)
- 30-50k for goods
So she's left with 20-50k for working 60h a week. Dope.
This is how you destroy the middle class and the foundation for generational wealth, growth and prosperity.
Oh and Germany has 5m public servants (out of 45m working age)
🙋♀️Hello - Iranian here.
For those fixated on 'legality' to excuse the regime in Iran - F*ck You.
No, I will not let you be my voice. You don't get to narrate my story, you don't get to claim moral superiority. You don't get to tell me my feelings are wrong.
Is it legal to throw women in prison for strands of hair? Is it legal to mass execute people? Is it legal to turn a fertile land into a parched desert? Is it legal to rape? Is it legal to shoot innocent people? Is it legal to kill children? Is it legal to torture people to death? Is it legal to spread terrorism? Is it legal to deprive people of a livelihood? Is it legal to shoot people in the eye to blind them? Is it legal to silence people and take away all of their human rights? Is it legal to shoot down a passenger plane? Is it legal to drive millions to leave their country? Is it legal to jail women for singing and dancing? Is it legal to disappear people including children?
You will never experience anything like Iranians have experienced for the last 47 years.
Iranians have fought barehanded and they've paid a price. All up to 1,000,000 (one million) Iranians have been murdered since the regime came to power.
Your books on 'civil disobedience' and 'collective protest' are useless against an armed opposition that is ideologically driven and will kill all that stand in its way.
You want legality? The world has a duty to protect innocent lives. It's enshrined in R2P. Some people seem to think Iranians aren't humans. The murder, genocide and massacre of Iranians receives scant media attention - hence scant sympathy.
Those who proclaim to care about 'human rights' must think Iranians are animals and not worthy. Their hatred of Israel and US is so great they've lost all perspective.
Yes, Iranians are happy. They're happy someone took out Ali Khamenei and many others directly responsible for so much pain and agony.
And you know what? We're unashamedly hopeful that with the help of the world's superpower, we can reclaim our country and build a better tomorrow.
We know there's a long way to go, but give us this brief moment of reprieve, because daily we sit and try to tell the story of the lives lost, those at risk of execution, those under torture. We've seen the pictures and videos of massacres taking place.
Our dance and happiness comes with a heavy weight. We do so, in knowledge of the many who never lived to see this day.
The day of freedom will come to Iran, it's glorious - and we're not sorry if some outside help contributed to making that happen.
So don't speak on my behalf and stop excusing this regime on grounds of 'anti-colonialism'. and 'anti-Zionism'.

Foucault, grandfather of Woke, travelled to Iran during the revolution to take inspiration.
He was electrified by how radical Islam fused theology with politics into explosive 'political spirituality' against Western modernity.
This was the original Red-Green alliance.
We’re watching the exact same pattern re-emerge today. Be warned.
If you think that Islam doesn't plan on doing to us what they did to the Iranian people, you are lying to yourself. The liberal women in Iran helped bring the regime change and it bit them hard! We must not allow this here. Europe has almost fallen. Hopefully today will be a wake up call to all. If you know any veterans who served in Afghanistan or Iraq just ask them.
This gave me chills.
After almost 50 years of Islamic dictatorship, Iranians are finally getting their freedom.
❤️
Iranian women are dancing in the streets—without hair coverings—after hearing that Israel killed the tyrant Khamenei.
So many Western leaders should feel ashamed at their cowardly response this morning. We will all remember.
The fact that 75% of these cases are of people over the age of 5 (and probably 90% of them over the age of 1), DISPROVE ANY POSSIBILITY OF THE ROLE OF @RobertKennedyJr in "creating" them.

I’ve been attacked tonight by the usual online fanboys for taking this viewpoint.
I served in the Middle East. My friend died alongside 5 of his colleagues, and many other brave souls in Afghanistan. Many others died elsewhere in the world wearing our colours and taking on radical Islamic terror head on.
The Iranian regime funded much of the terror they and we faced and face. This is a good day. Anyone who doesn’t see that today was about cutting the head off the murderous, Islamist snake is a moron.
Next step: The IRGC and the Muslim Brotherhood should be proscribed organisations here in the UK. Nigel has committed to doing just that.
It’s a pity we, in this country don’t currently have a strong PM than has the fortitude to say these things, and act with courage. Soon we will.
Nice guy
