Following a historically low 2020/21 season, the 65+ suffered their 3rd & 4th highest seasons on their chart. The 15-44s 2023/24 season is 3rd highest on their chart as well. No new alarm bells are ringing here imho.
Austria's🇦🇹 analyses provide an example of seemingly high weekly excess translating to quite usual seasonal mortality, undermining the suitability of this baseline for them. The 45-64s weekly look worse than the 15-44s, but seasonal sums which take precedence, shows the opposite.

Italy's🇮🇹 under 45s have largely seen no pandemic. At worse, there is a moderate elevation within range in 2021& 2022 for them. Other groups back in range from mid 2021. Elderly 2022 summer spike similar to that of 2015.

i also pulled stockholm and zurich.
interestingly, stockholm (once a watchword for safety) actually looks very similar to london or paris.
zurich, a notably safe city, looks about the same overall as warsaw, possibly with slightly more crime depending upon what one weighs and how heavily.
bottom line: poland looks like one of the lowest crime areas of europe these days.
perhaps there is a lesson there.

I recently understood that we need an FOI for a revised publication (for 2021-2023 data) b/c the registration delays in England are so significant that the death occurrences published back then, even on table 5, were very partial.
