Tedros is the world’s top public health official. Out of every person on the planet, he had a singular obligation to be honest. Instead, because he wanted to keep his prestigious title and lavish salary, he chose to lie and in doing so helped ruin countless lives. Few betrayals in history rival what Tedros did, and of course this total embarrassment of a “journalist” gives him a pass.
