⚠️⚠️⚠️Remember, @GavinNewsom personally used his http://X.com account to call out the president of a local California school board (Temecula) and threaten him with multi-million dollar fines if the board dared to buck state-mandated LBTQ+ curricula and pass rules reversing Newsom's requirements that schools keep secrets from parents about their children's gender transitions. It was a heavy-handed totalitarian action on an 80/20 issue by Newsom using his power to intimidate local school board officials for bucking his gender indoctrination mandates. Yesterday, the Supreme Court sided with the school board president, who no longer has to live in fear of getting his school district fined.

The Israel Defense Force has issued a statement warning all representatives of the Iranian Government to leave Lebanon in the next 24 hours or risk being targeted and killed, with IDF Spokesman Col. Avichay Adraee stating, “The IDF warns representatives of the Iranian terror regime who are still in Lebanon to leave immediately before being targeted. The IDF warns that it will not tolerate any presence of representatives of the Iranian terror regime in Lebanon and will grant regime representatives currently in Lebanon 24 hours to leave the country. After that, there will be no safe place for representatives of the Iranian regime in Lebanon, and the IDF will target them wherever they are found.”

Only one of the ~20 Chinese research and surveillance ships I track that regularly broadcast AIS is in the Persian Gulf. Hai Yang Shi You 760 is a dual-use survey ship, operated by the state-owned CNOOC, which has close ties to the PLA. The PLA Navy maintains a rotational “naval escort task force” in the Middle East to support an ostensible anti-piracy mission, currently composed of: • CNS Tangshen (122); Type 052D/Luyang III (Mod) destroyer • CNS Daqing (576); Type 054A/Jiangkai II frigate • CNS Tai Hu (889); Type 903/Fuchi-class oiler Elements of the task force participated in drills off South Africa in January, but latest position is unknown.

COVID turned more climate activists into skeptics than any debate ever could. Not because the science changed — because lockdowns made the endgame visible. Depressed. Isolated. Unfree. One former activist just said the quiet part out loud.

The elites will insist this is fine because freedom must extend even to those who seek to destroy it. This illogical position is rarely challenged and admittedly messy when it involves your own citizens, but it becomes simple when non-citizens are involved. There isn’t a single non-Western nation that would tolerate events designed to subvert the country, so why does the West allow it?

I will die on this hill. I would rather live in a world with mild climate change and reliable energy from fossil fuels than in a world where climate activists win, our energy system is unreliable and expensive, and we have less choice and opportunity as humans. Weigh these tradeoffs honestly, and I think you will come out on the same side I have.

A front-page piece from veteran New York Times White House and national security correspondent David Sanger, long the enforcer of Democratic foreign policy dogma, claims that military action against Iran is “the ultimate war of choice.” To support that claim, Sanger undercut a major report in the Times from late June (to which he “contributed reporting,” natch) that argued Operation Midnight Hammer failed to seriously set back Iran’s nuclear program. Back then they claimed the bombing wasn’t successful, that Trump had failed to degrade Iran’s nuclear capabilities. Now, Sanger says Iran posed no imminent threat. It’s the latest example of the Times’s vast and unwieldy White House team writing contradictory attack articles. @Ira Stoll writes: ⬇️

Behold one of the most pristine examples of the Dem/media performative ignorance phenomenon that has infected anti-Trump reporting and punditry like a metastatic cancer. First, @jonkarl - think. Stop what you're doing, clear your "I've-got-a-scoop-and-it's-craaaaaazy!"-addled mind and just...think. I'm going to propose a scenario that may conflict with your reporting but hear me out. Listen until the end. You ready? Here it is: Trump wasn't talking about possible candidates HE and the IC had considered for installing as the new leader of Iran. Still with me, Jonathon? It gets better. He was talking about the possible successors Trump and the IC believed that THEY - the Iranians - were most likely to install as the new leader of Iran. But NOW, when it turns out they were all killed in the first strike, as Trump very accurately informed you, "It's not going to be anybody that we were thinking of because they're all dead. Second and third are all dead." But you know this, Jonathon. Your buddy @jimsciutto knows this as well, as he repeatedly quotes your reporting on @CNN and braces every guest with the question of "How can we be confident of how Trump is prosecuting the war when the people on his list to take over Iran were killed in the first strike?" How could you possibly know this? Well, one reason is because a fifth-grader would know it. If I told a fifth-grader what you have told millions of people with this post, he'd say: "Weren't those men killed with the Ayatollah the highest-ranking military and security leaders in Iran with documented histories of horrific crimes against the people of Iran and throughout the world? Can't we Grok their names and see if it could possibly be true that Trump, the American intelligence community and Israel conferred on this most important and crucial appointment and chose one or more of these evil beings as the man they want to lead Iran into a glorious new future?" And that, Jonathon, would be a GREAT QUESTION. So let's Grok their names. Here they are, Jonathon. The men you purport to believe Trump chose as a candidate pool to take over the country from the Ayatollah sitting across the table from them as they met to decide how to repel and respond to the upcoming attack. See if you can identify which "possible candidates to take over Iran" Trump and Israel green-lighted as the man to whom they would entrust the future of Iran:

Each Iron Dome interception costs between $50,000 and $100,000 and relies on a stockpile of interceptor missiles. Each Iron Beam interception costs a few cents and relies only on a power supply. This is an absolute game changer.

“Venezuela supplies maybe 3-4% of China’s imported oil.” “But Iran was somewhere between 15-23%.” Gordon Chang told me that President Trump is “going after the Chinese” with his war in Iran. “He is doing it indirectly.” “He’s cutting off their sources of oil.” “President Trump may allow the Venezuelans to sell oil to China, but not at the heavily discounted rates that China was benefiting from.” “And Chinese factories are now dependent on cheap oil.” “Well, they’re not getting it anymore.” “If they get their oil, they’re gonna have to pay market prices.” @GordonGChang
