Babler, this is truly the height of irresponsibility and cheap diversionary tactics! You stand there as Vice Chancellor of the current ÖVP/SPÖ/NEOS government and seriously say on May 1st that the FPÖ, Orban and Trump are to blame for the fact that our debts will explode in 2025/2026, bankruptcies will reach record levels, the economy will go downhill, inflation will continue to eat away and we will no longer have cheap energy? 🤦🏻‍♀️ The fact is: The FPÖ (was in a coalition for exactly 17 months in 2017/2018) has no longer been in the federal government since 2019. The last few years have been dominated by the ÖVP/Greens, and now the SPÖ itself is in the government. Anyone who bears responsibility today cannot permanently shift it onto outside actors. Honesty also pays off when it comes to energy policy: rising prices depend, among other things. with geopolitical developments, sanctions, the restructuring of the energy supply and the loss of cheap supplies. These are decisions and framework conditions that were supported at the European and national level by the very parties that form the government today. Instead of cheap Russian pipeline gas, there is expensive LNG, and that is exactly what is driving up industry, households and inflation. Instead of finally taking responsibility for your own politics (high deficits, weak growth, record bankruptcies), you prefer to blame the FPÖ and a few right-wingers abroad and on Trump. Classic left-wing framing: “It’s the others’ fault!” Mr. Babler, the Austrians notice this. Blaming people like this doesn't win a future, it only increases frustration.

I'm really at a loss for words... On May 1st in Vienna, leftists march in front of the State Opera with a huge banner of Marx, Lenin, Stalin and Mao - the greatest mass murderers in history, under whose regime over 100 million people were murdered, starved to death or tortured in gulags. And this is openly celebrated here as a “left-wing struggle”?! While some just talk about “right-wing danger,” fans of humanity’s greatest criminals walk freely through our capital.
