RT by @Cegomary: A citizen from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania claimed expenses for the broadcasting fee amounting to 220.32 euros in his income tax return for 2024. The reason: Access to broadcasting is part of the so-called socio-cultural subsistence minimum for recipients of citizenship benefits and is paid for by the state. The basic tax allowance, in turn, does not take the broadcasting fee into account. However, the tax office did not want to accept the argument. The Taxpayers' Association (BdSt) is therefore supporting a new model case before the tax court (ref. 1 K 67/26). Until the verdict is issued, the BdSt recommends that you declare the 220.32 euros in your tax return as a precautionary measure.

The work, published in the journal Applied Acoustics, shows that low-frequency waves below 20 Hertz penetrate walls and windows practically unhindered. Mattsson himself says: “There is basically no protection against infrasound.” Particularly alarming: Two researchers suffered from sleep disorders and migraines after the measurements. A part of the population seems to be particularly sensitive. In my opinion, this can no longer be ignored. Mattsson presented his results in the EU Parliament on March 24, 2026. The Petitions Committee examines the issue and the Commission must take a position. Mattsson demands a minimum distance of five kilometers. I think this is long overdue - economic interests have taken precedence here for too long. It is time for politicians to fundamentally review distancing practices and take the protection of residents seriously. The answer is as simple as it is depressing: people are still doing too well. Germany burns hundreds of billions every year on migration, citizens' money and development aid. That's almost 300 euros for every household. Every month. These are the real, serious problems that hardly anyone notices. The average driver hardly notices the 40 euros extra cost at the pump. But anyone who believes that it will stay that way has not understood the logic of inflation. Higher energy costs are poison that seeps into every production process. From fertilizer for grain to refrigeration in the supermarket. You then feel the gradual loss of your purchasing power every time you do your weekly shopping. The 40 cents more on fuel quickly turns into a real additional burden of 350-500 euros for a family. And now extrapolate this 500 euros per month over 40 years of work and invest it sensibly. We're not talking about loose change here. We are talking about immense sums of money that the state simply takes away from you through inefficiency and redistribution. Why does it still remain so quiet in the country? Because it's so easy to complain at the end of the day and the majority don't know what to do about it.
