Malaysia ist dasselbe Land, das israelische Athleten aufgrund ihrer Identität von einem paralympischen Wettkampf ausgeschlossen hat und das wiederholt die Hamas unterstützt hat. Botschafter Hazan forderte die Israelis auf, nicht nach Malaysia zu reisen, nicht für einen Besuch und nicht einmal für einen Zwischenstopp. „Wir wissen nie, ob es uns gelingt, die Freilassung der Israelis zu erreichen, und es ist keine Selbstverständlichkeit, wenn uns das gelingt.
