Let's get healthy again

This is a combination of policy, the government shutting out snack food with sugars, salts, and too many carbs. But when you go and teach a class of 20-somethings, as I do almost every week now, and ask them what they're eating, they don't eat snacks anymore. They are so fired up about eating foods that keep them healthy. They don't even drink anymore! This is getting insane. They don't eat any sugar, 'cause they think it causes cancer. They don't eat too many carbs. They try to get 128 grams of protein. I'm saying, "What happened to college?"

We overhauled the dietary guidelines, simplified them so every American can understand them, and grounded every recommendation in gold standard science. One clear message: EAT REAL FOOD. That’s how we Make America Healthy Again.
