Man beachte: Thailand ist offiziell ein Schwellenland. Fühlt sich vor Ort überhaupt nicht mehr so an.

Damit verlieren rund zwei Drittel der Mitarbeiter ihren Arbeitsplatz und der größte Arbeitgeber der Stadt wird drastisch geschrumpft.
Strukturbruch in der Zulieferindustrie: Hintergrund ist der stark schrumpfende Markt für Dieselinjektoren nachdem der Konzern Vitesco übernommen wurde. Das Werk soll künftig vor allem Ersatzteile produzieren statt neue Systeme für Fahrzeuge zu fertigen. Für eine ganze Industrieregion bedeutet das weniger Produktion weniger Wertschöpfung und deutlich weniger sichere Arbeitsplätze.
Deutschland verliert gerade schrittweise seine industrielle Substanz und die Folgen werden erst in einigen Jahren vollständig sichtbar sein.
