Farmer: "My inputs are sunlight, rain, and grass."
Activist: "And feed crops."
Farmer: "Brewers grain from the local brewery. Beet pulp left over from sugar processing. Stuff that would otherwise rot in a skip."
Activist: "That can't scale."
Farmer: "Two thirds of Britain's agricultural land is only fit for grazing. It cannot grow crops. It never will. The ruminant is the only food production possible on it."
Activist: "But globally..."
Farmer: "Globally isn't where I farm. I farm here. On this hill. Where it rains nine months a year and nothing else grows."
Activist: "We need to think systemically."
Farmer: "Systemically, Britain has 10 million hectares of permanent pasture doing exactly what I'm describing. Turning solar energy and rainfall into protein. With brewery waste as a bonus."
Activist: "There must be a better use."
Farmer: "For land that grows grass, in a country that eats beef, using byproducts that would otherwise be landfill? What use would that be?"

One of my covid thoughtcrime tweets in 2020 that CPSO ordered me to be cautioned for in 2021, (and actually cautioned me for in Aug 2025(!) after the Supreme Court of Canada denied me leave to appeal in May2025, was a retweet of Dr. @MartinKulldorff's factual evidence-based tweet. The problem: his tweet didn't align with our govts' harmful unethical/unscientific covid propaganda and, in Canada, truth that contradicts the govt is deemed to be akin to blasphemy.
Now Dr. @MartinKulldorff is the Chief Science Advisor to the HHS, which oversees the NIH, the CDC and the FDA. The truth always prevails...
