The best answer I’ve seen (meant ironically, of course) was this, under an article in the UK’s Daily Telegraph:

This is why I straight up don't care about Gaza. Look at the way Islamists speak about their enemies - the murderous glee they display towards the people they want to kill. You think these people are concerned humanitarians? They're just sad that they are on the losing side. If Islamists had a fraction of Israel's military power for even a single day they would just massacre all 7 million Israeli Jews. Abundantly clear at this point. If you can't see it at this point you're mentally retarded. They would sraight up march every Israeli family in death columns into the sea. You saw this on October 7. Palestinian militants had about 4-5 hours where they possessed the power of life and death over random Israeli teenagers, grandmas, families. What did they do? Their first instinct was to go on a medieval rape and pillage massacre rampage. They massacred hundreds of teenagers at a music festival, they raped teenage women to death, they went door to door executing families and taking hostages, shooting pet dogs in the head. This is what they want for their enemies. This is what Mohammed Hijab wants for his enemies. Barbaric rape and pillage slaughter. He's not sad about Gaza, he's sad that he's not the death camp guard at Auschwitz, herding Jewish kids, women and grandparents into gas chambers. This is so obviously what Islamists like Mohammed Hijab want. When Islamists like Mohammad Hijab cry about human rights and international law, really they are like pitbulls - crying and cowering in the corner with a sad face, hoping to guilt you into letting them off their chain so they can maul you to death and rip off your face.

Today, I attended a pro–Islamic Republic gathering outside the Prime Minister’s office in my capacity as a journalist. During the event, I was attacked from behind by one of the regime’s supporters, resulting in a serious injury to my left rib. The individual who assaulted me managed to pass through the police cordon before carrying out the attack. Another individual, identified as Mohammadreza Zohrevand, also threatened to kill me and my family. Fortunately, both the attacker and the individual who issued the death threats were arrested by the police. Many of these individuals are present in the United Kingdom under the status of asylum seekers, yet they openly support the Islamic Republic. Their presence poses a serious threat to the safety and security of all citizens in this country. I have repeatedly put my life at risk to demonstrate this reality. I sincerely hope that concrete and decisive action will now be taken.

I’m an admirer of Jonathan’s writing but sorry I think this is a cowardly piece. Many excellent points are made, many groups are rightly called out for their Jew-hate or complicitness, but GB News get mentioned twice, because they fulfilled their remit and platformed a far left voice (which isn’t mentioned, implying this came from the right). Anecdotal this may be, and of course people would come up and say this me, but at school, events, shul, nearly every Jew I meet says they only watch GB News now because it’s the only channel that doesn’t go out of its way to gaslight and lie about Israel and Jews. To repeatedly highlight the channel, as though it’s part of why Jews are being attacked, is just total bullshit. To do it in the context of the years of lies about Israel and Jews from his own organisation, even with the slight dig at the most recent disgusting Guardian article, is almost comical. But the main problem I have, is how on earth is it possible to write hundreds of words on the recent avalanche of attacks on Jews in the diaspora, calling out everyone under the sun supposedly responsible, and yet NOT ONCE mention Islam/Islamists/Islamic extremists?! It’s cowardice, it’s a deliberate muddying of reality, and I’m fucking sick of it.

The bacteria held responsible for this Meningitis outbreak will be in most students. That raises 2 Qs: 1) The issue is not spread between people but how and why did the bacteria spread within the body (to the blood/meninges)? 2) If the idea of a vaccine is to introduce a foreign substance to the body so that it can build antibodies in case it encounters that substance again, how does that work with something already in the body? 🤔

It’s almost as if the Inquiry judged the health of the service solely on its performance as a bureaucracy without reference to whether patients were actually being served. Like the old “the hospitals would run so much more efficiently if it wasn’t for the patients” joke.

I am beginning to absolutely DESPISE the left. I never thought I would say this but, in many ways, they are now even worse than the far-right. It's bad enough that they openly side with Palestine, China, and Russia (and, in some cases, even North Korea). It's bad enough that they routinely excuse and in many cases cheer on antisemitic attacks in the West. It's bad enough that they celebrated the worst genocide of Jews since the Holocaust and then desperately tried to save Hamas from what they KNEW was coming. Now they are trying to protect the Islamic Republic - a regime responsible (either directly or indirectly) for literally every war in the Middle East since 1979 - under the phony guise of humanitarian concern and pacifism. Where were these pacifists when 40,000 Iranians were slaughtered? They were too busy grousing about Israel and telling Iranians (and Venezuelans, and Cubans) to "shut up" about their own oppression. Maybe at one point the left was serious about universal human rights. They aren't anymore. Now they're immersed in some utterly braindead Manichean bullshit about how the West/Israel are the root of all evil and anyone who opposes them is one of the "children of light". It's all so fucking stupid. It's possible to criticize and hold America accountable for its wrongdoings without shilling for the absolute worst regimes on Earth just because they share your disdain for the West and its ills. But, for some reason, you are unable to grasp this. Either that or you've come to hate the West so much that you would rather ally with terrorist regimes who massacre protesters, run torture dungeons, and kidnap women as sex slaves than take America's side on *anything* at all. That's not brave. That's not edgy. That's not intelligent. And it sure as fuck isn't moral. That's just mindless contrarianism. And few things are more fucking annoying and insufferable than a pompous, narcissistic contrarian blowhard who is constantly huffing their own farts.

(1) “Zionism = settler colonialism.” Jews have lived continuously in the land for ~3,000 years. (2) “Zionism = Jewish ethno-supremacy.” 20% of Israelis are Arab/Muslim citizens — voting, in parliament, on the Supreme Court, even in the military. (3) “Zionism = an illegitimate state imposed on the region.” The state emerged from a UN partition plan — and dozens of other states created in the last century aren’t singled out this way. (4) “Zionism caused the Nakba.” Many Arabs fled during the war launched to destroy Israel; meanwhile ~850,000 Jews were expelled from Muslim countries. (5) “Zionism means expansion and colonization.” Israel has repeatedly returned territory and today controls far less land than after the wars it won (see image). In reality, Zionism simply means that Jews — like any other people — have the right to national self-determination in their historic homeland.

An important point is beyond dispute - Internal police correspondence confirms that there existed guidance “to not record” certain reports. The language used is explicit: “…the guidance to not record has been a success…” This is not speculation, nor is it inference. It is a documented acknowledgment that such guidance existed and that its outcome was being monitored. The recording of reports is not an administrative technicality. It is the gateway through which allegations enter the justice system. If matters are not recorded, then the justice process cannot even begin. It is blocked - justice is prevented from taking place - it's course is perverted. The question therefore becomes a very serious constitutional one - How and under whose authority, did guidance affecting the recording of reports arise? That question goes directly to the heart of the integrity of the justice system itself.
