Wachstum: Haiti, wir kommen!
Glaubt man der stark aufgestockten PR-Abteilung der Bundesregierung, dann geht es Österreich prächtig. Nach nur einem Jahr Dreierkoalition haben sich alle Sorgen in Luft aufgelöst. Die Teuerung liegt bei zwei Prozent, sogar die längste Rezession der zweiten Republik ist passé. Leider ist nicht alles, was glänzt, auch Gold. Ausschlaggebend für die niedrige Teuerung ist, dass der Inflationsauftrieb durch die weggefallene Strompreisbremse heuer statistisch nicht mehr ins Gewicht fällt. Und die niedrigere Neuverschuldung ist auf eine günstigere Finanzierung und höhere Steuern und Abgaben zurückzuführen.
Aber wie sieht es mit dem Aufschwung aus, den die Regierung bei jeder Gelegenheit betont. Von dem konjunkturellen Kursfeuerwerk, das die Regierung gern herbeiredet, sind wir leider weit entfernt, wie unsere Grafik zeigt. Müsste man auf einem Globus kleine Nadeln in alle Länder stecken, die sich wachstumstechnisch bis 2030 noch schlechter entwickeln als wir, bräuchte man nur sehr, sehr wenige kleine Nadeln.
Der Internationale Währungsfonds (IWF) sieht uns beim durchschnittlichen Wirtschaftswachstum bis 2030 auf einem ernüchternden 182. Platz (von 189). Direkt hinter Russland. Knapp vor Deutschland und Äquatorialguinea; nur sieben Plätze vor dem „Failed State“ Haiti. „Die Regierung sollte aufpassen, dass sie nicht zu sehr durch die rosarote Brille schaut, sondern endlich wichtige Reformen vorantreibt“, meint Ökonom Hanno Lorenz. „Wir haben noch ein Jahr bis zu den nächsten größeren Wahlen in Österreich. Wenn wir dieses Zeitfenster nicht endlich nutzen, um einen soliden Staatshaushalt und die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der heimischen Wirtschaft wiederherzustellen, wird sich an den Aussichten bis 2030 wenigen verbessern“.

Dass 1. die Sozialhilfe in AT generell zu großzügig ist und 2. man sich überlegen sollte, wie man diese Menschen in Arbeit bekommt, ist für das intellektuelle Niveau einer durchschnittlichen Landesregierung einfach eine Überforderung. (via @VNRedaktion)
