‘No virus’ is the virology equivalent of flat-earth: it ignores electron microscopy, culture, sequencing, transmission experiments, and lab-acquired infections. You can subpoena that. You can cross-examine that. You can prove fraud and negligence with that. What pharma does want is to be able to point at its critics and say, “See? These are the people we’re dealing with, they think viruses aren’t even real. See, they’re all a bunch of idiots.” Suddenly they don’t have to defend specific data; they just have to defend the basic existence of virology, which is easy for them. They wrap themselves in the prestige of “settled science” while quietly dodging everything about trial design, conflicts of interest, and safety signals. Once the “no virus” narrative is loud enough, everyone who raises legitimate safety concerns gets shoved into the same bucket as flat-earth and 5G-brain-ray people. It’s guilt by association. Reasonable critics get painted as cranks, and regulators and platforms feel completely justified in lumping nuanced safety critiques under the label “anti-science misinformation.” It also fractures the opposition. Instead of a united front saying, “Yes, viruses exist, and yes, some of these products and policies are unsafe, coercive, or corrupt,” you get endless internal food fights over metaphysics “germ theory vs terrain theory”, while pharma keeps selling product. The energy that should be focused on data, corruption, and accountability gets siphoned off into abstract arguments no regulator ever has to answer for. And because “viruses aren’t real” is such an extreme claim, it gives censors a perfect pretext. They point to that fringe content and announce they’re cracking down on “dangerous misinformation.” Then, under that same umbrella, they quietly sweep away thoughtful analysis of adverse events, trial irregularities, and regulatory capture. The outliers become the excuse to silence the middle. In the end, denying the existence of viruses doesn’t weaken pharma; it gives them a caricature of their critics to hold up and ridicule. It lets them hide bad products behind good science. You don’t have to pretend virology is fake to see that some vaccines and drugs have been oversold, under-tested, or dishonestly marketed.
