Mein letzter Tag in der DDR (1984)
Auszug aus meinem Buch
Am nächsten Morgen begleitete mich Mutter zum Bahnhof. Vater durfte nicht kommen, bekam angeblich nicht frei, was aber nur vorgeschoben war, wie ich später erfuhr. Er war ja mein Stiefvater und man sagte einfach zu ihm: „Was willste denn mit dem? Ist doch nicht dein leiblicher Sohn.“
Der Abschied von Mutter war schwer, denn sie hielt mich ganz fest in ihren Armen und wollte mich nicht loslassen. Ich streichelte immerzu ihr Haar und sagte: „Wir werden uns wiedersehen, Mutti, wir werden uns ganz sicher wiedersehen.“ Hatte ich auch falsch gedacht, denn bis 1990 ließen mich die Verbrecher nicht mehr in die DDR einreisen.
Da der Zug aber nun mal fuhr, lies mich Muttern endlich los, nahm meine Hände und sagte: „Ich wünsche dir für deine Zukunft alles nur erdenklich Gute, mein Junge. Und ich weiß, daß du es im Westen schaffen wirst, da bin ich mir ganz sicher.“ Dann lächelte sie mich tapfer an, drehte sich schnell um und ging die Treppe runter. So hatten wir es vorher ausgemacht und Mutti hielt sich daran. Und das machte es mir so viel leichter, in den Zug einzusteigen. Den Zug in die Freiheit.

The next morning my mother accompanied me to the train station. Father wasn't allowed to come and supposedly wasn't given time off, but that was just an excuse, as I later found out. He was my stepfather and they simply said to him: "What do you want with him? He's not your biological son."
Saying goodbye to mother was difficult because she held me tightly in her arms and didn't want to let me go. I kept stroking her hair and saying, “We’ll see each other again, mom, we’ll definitely see each other again.” I thought wrong too, because until 1990 the criminals no longer let me enter the GDR.
But since the train was moving, Mother finally let go of me, took my hands and said: "I wish you all the best for your future, my boy. And I know that you will make it in the West, I'm quite sure of that." Then she smiled bravely at me, quickly turned around and went down the stairs. That's what we agreed on beforehand and Mom stuck to it. And that made it so much easier for me to get on the train. The train to freedom.

Für wen, wenn nicht für unsere alten Mitmenschen, sollte umfassend gesorgt werden? Wer, wenn nicht sie – die unser Land aufgebaut und vorangebracht haben –, sollten alles erhalten, was sie für einen schönen und würdigen Lebensabend brauchen?
Gelten diese ominösen Menschenrechte für „unsere Alten“ nicht?

Aus Alt mach Neu! 💖
Wir haben vor 30 Jahren unsere Küche für damals 10.000 DM gekauft – und haben sie so sehr ins Herz geschlossen, dass wir uns nicht trennen konnten.
Also Frischzellenkur: Neue Arbeitsplatten, Wände vertäfelt, neue Spüle und ein neuer Bosch-Herd für 1.400 €. Insgesamt 4.700 € – davon 900 € für die beiden Monteure, die 5 Stunden gewerkelt haben und man beachte auch die Mehrwertsteuer.
Verrückte Zeiten, aber wir konnten nicht anders. In dieser Küche ist unsere Tochter groß geworden und wir haben in ihr so viele schöne Feste gefeiert.
Was meint ihr dazu? Habt ihr auch schon mal die alte Küche „gerettet“? Oder würdet ihr lieber alles neu machen?

Arbeiten in der DDR => Die Ossis sollen erst mal arbeiten lernen?
Zum einen wurde tatsächlich oftmals nicht viel gearbeitet, da der Nachschub an was auch immer fehlte und man war dann halt nur noch anwesend, bis der Feierabend kam.
Auf der anderen Seite aber wurde vor allem Nachts sehr hart gearbeitet. Die Brigaden, die die berühmte Platte hochzogen, arbeiteten rund um die Uhr – im Sommer in der Hitze und im Winter auch in der Nacht bei bis zu - 16 Grad bitterer Kälte. Ein Knochenjob.
Oder in den Kaufhallen wurden in der Nachtschicht von fleißigen Frauen die Regale aufgefüllt und natürlich auch alle Produkte von den Fahrern in der Nacht angeliefert. Es gab viele solcher Knochenjobs, die vor allem nachts erledigt wurden. Die Großbäckereien, die Milchabfüllanlagen, Wartburg und Trabant liefen auch rund um die Uhr vom Band.
Von wegen „Die Ossis sollen erst mal arbeiten lernen“. Dieser dämliche Spruch, der nach der Wende im Westen die Runde machte, regt mich heute noch auf. Da ich ja dann 1984 das Arbeitsleben in der BRD erlebt habe, kann ich mit Fug und Recht behaupten, dass die Ostdeutschen weitaus härter arbeiteten als die Westdeutschen – und vor allem viel mehr in der Nacht.
Wer hat selbst in der Nachtschicht gearbeitet? Egal ob jetzt in der DDR oder BRD. Erzählt gerne eure Geschichten!

Außer spät abends kam dann der Klassiker vom Oberkellner: „Tut mir leid, ist aus.“
Das war das Geheimnis: Die Gaststätten hatten „Sonderkontingente“, vor allem in Großstädten. Sie waren Aushängeschilder des Sozialismus – Westdeutsche sollten staunen, zufrieden heimgehen und den Sozialismus loben.
Und so ganz nebenbei konnte auch der normale DDR-Bürger profitieren: Nachdem er „plaziert“ wurde, gönnte er sich mal ein Rinderfilet-Steak. Auch wenn das schon richtig teuer war.

Das hat für mich den gelernten DDR-Bürger einfach perfekt gespiegelt.

1977 im ersten Lehrjahr hatte ich 90 Mark, im zweiten 100 und im dritten 110 Mark. Nach der Ausbildung zum „Zerspannungsfacharbeiter“ dann lumpige 540 Mark im Monat. 😅

Vor Kurzem war ich mit Lesern in Kontakt, die ebenfalls eine Rezension hochladen wollten, aber da kam dann leider nichts.
Deshalb nochmal die Bitte: Wer das Buch gelesen hat und es mag, möge bitte eine ehrliche Rezension schreiben. Auch konstruktive Kritik ist herzlich willkommen – jede Stimme zählt.
Bei 40 Rezensionen erreicht man bei Amazon eine unsichtbare Schwelle, ab der das Buch nochmal stärker gepusht wird – vor allem in den „Andere Kunden kauften auch“ Bereichen. Bei 50 geht dann erst richtig die Post ab.

Da in der Diskussion um Frau Merkels Stasi Akten immer wieder dieses Bild auftaucht, möchte ich hier mal die Echtheit der Aufnahme in Frage stellen.
Denn erstens, hatten die FDJ Blusen damals immer aufgesetzte Taschen in Brusthöhe, die hier fehlen.
Zweitens, wenn das Foto aus dem Jahr 1970 stammen soll, dann wäre Frau Merkel damals 16 Jahre alt gewesen und hätte als sehr gute Schülerin, die sie ja war, als Auszeichnung die Lessing-Medaille bekommen. Die sieht aber ganz anders aus, als das Ding auf dem Foto.
So, nun sind meine DDR Follower gefragt. Habe ich Recht, was meint ihr dazu?

Wann sehen wir die ersten linken Demos mit Spruchbändern wie „ Die Scheiß Boomer enteignen“ oder „Schmeißt die Oma aus dem Haus und den Opa gleich mit“ oder „Boomer raus aus den Häusern und rein ins Altersheim“?
Was denkt ihr – darf der heutige Staat so weit gehen?
