Am Ende dieses Tages werde ich als von der @DB_Bahn verhöhnter Kunde erlebt haben: Fünf Züge, von denen genau 0 pünktlich waren. Statt dreieinhalb werde ich ca. sieben Stunden im Zug verbracht haben. Die Ausreden waren: verspätet bereit gestellter Zug / kein Fahrplan für den Lokführer / hohes Passagieraufkommen am Bahnhof / Verspätung aus dem Ausland / Gleisbelegung.

Great post, Lucy, and I agree with you. I'm not sure she's the best choice, to be honest. I think you would do a great job, I think @anish_koka or @drjohnm or @DrJMarine would as well.
However, she was bullied by Sen Murray into providing a clear and direct answer on flu shots and she didn't cave. I think that's important. She does get nuance. That said, I don't think she should have used the word "horrifying" re birth control pills. At the root of all this, I realize, is communication. It's still an art, isn't it? And what are we really looking for from a Surgeon General? What do we want from this position?

Ich bin mittlerweile überzeugt, dass hier auch bezahlte oder koordinierte Accounts am Werk sind.
Und ja: Viele von denen, die diesen Krieg jetzt frenetisch befeuern und jede kritische Stimme als „Verschwörung“ diffamieren, unterstützen genau das Ablenkungsmanöver, das gerade läuft. Die gleichen Kreise, die bis zum Hals in den Epstein-Files stecken, sind dieselben, die diesen Konflikt mit aller Macht eskalieren wollen.
Sobald es aber um die eigene Haut geht, dann sind Medien, Politiker und „Faktenchecker“ auf einmal wieder alle scheiße.
Doppelmoral pur.

And then to see Noa and Johnny — on Johnny's second birthday — carried out onto the ice to be part of that gold medal photo — there are no words for what that felt like.
John and Matty should have been there, and in that moment, they were.
