R to @orwell2022: 3/ Low built-up ≠ high-quality station. It’s a mandatory condition, not a guarantee. Switch to sat view and inspect the site closely— the problems often shows up immediately. Like here. Coastal locations commonly have this issue. Water makes them appear rural. They aren’t.
@orwell2022 18.03 18:43
Pinned: 2/ This map shows all stations with 100 years of data and at least 9 valid months per year. That leaves about 500 🌎 https://orwell2024.github.io/builtmap/ 🌎 Stations are colored by the level of built-up area around the site. Click any station to view its details and temperature curve.

1/ Can you actually find a hockey stick in truly rural stations? Not in a stitched statistical construct — in a real, coherent station record. Here’s a tool to test it yourself. Link below.

How good is Israel's intelligence? The regime's former president Ahmadinejad: “Iran's Secret Service had established a unit to target Mossad agents within Iran. However, the head of this unit turned out to be a Mossad operative himself, along with 20 other agents.” 🤣

Puppy Kisses Can Transmit Parasites to Humans Dr Peter McCullough® on Real America's Voice Just the News with Amanda Head and John Solomon. Head was shocked learning puppy saliva can carry parasite eggs. Humans can acquire toxocariasis, a parasitic infection caused by the roundworm Toxocara canis, from kissing or being licked by puppies. Puppies often carry these worms and shed microscopic eggs in their feces, which can contaminate their fur, mouth, or saliva. When a person’s face or lips come into contact with these eggs, they may be accidentally ingested, allowing larvae to migrate through the body and cause visceral larva migrans (affecting organs) or ocular larva migrans (potential blindness). Other parasites like hookworms and Giardia may also spread through saliva, though less commonly. Young puppies pose the highest risk because nearly all are infected unless regularly dewormed. Proper hygiene—washing hands after handling pets, keeping puppies dewormed, and avoiding face-licking—prevents infection. While often ignored by mainstream sources, toxocariasis is widespread and underdiagnosed, capable of causing chronic inflammation, allergic symptoms, or visual damage even in developed countries. Ivermectin/mebendazole from the Wellness Company is designed to handle this risk. Courtesy Real America's Voice March 4, 2026. http://www.twc.health/focalpoints

‘Isn't she lovely? Isn't she wonderful? Isn't she precious? Less than one minute old.’🎶 Stevie Wonder’s classic song sums up the overwhelming joy the miracle of a newborn brings. His baby was no less precious before she emerged from her mother. Blind, he couldn’t see her, inside or out. But I’m sure he felt those little feet kicking. If a mother had a 3 or 4D baby scan before she took the abortion pill, would she still take it?

This is second time we've used Anthropic Interviewer and the first time we've deployed it at scale. Quite accidentally, we ended up conducting (what we believe is) the largest qualitative study ever I'm a mixed-methods social scientist by training. Traditionally, when it came to understanding what people think, that meant quantitative analysis of lower resolution data (polls, surveys, etc.) or hand-wavey analysis of in-depth qualitative data. Using Claude to conduct *and* analyze interviews bridges that tradeoff between breadth and depth AI also makes access much, much easier. Had we run this study in person, in the real world, it would have taken hundreds (if not several thousand) enumerators many 1000s of hours to conduct. It also affords us access to places we could otherwise never go. I once led a five-person team in Tanzania that reached a few hundred people. It took 3 weeks. In this study we heard from people 80,000 people in 159 countries, in cities and rural areas, in daily life and in war zones, and more, in just one I'm still, even after months, beginning to wrap my head around the scale of this work. Like, to a social scientist, it's quite unbelievable. This could produce dozens of dissertations! It is also, of course, imperfect—certainly speaking to an AI is different than speaking to a person—and as a team we're all still figuring out how to make this research as useful as possible: what questions to ask and how, what to analyze and why, and how that all feeds back into what we do as a company. This is, as we say in the blog, a brand new form of social science Hat tip to @saffronhuang for leading this for the past few months. Here's one of my favorite quotes

The “NIH is no longer functioning” narrative was always dramatically overstated. A delayed apportionment coming after a prolonged government shutdown was framed as institutional collapse rather than what it likely was: a lag in funding flow tied to broader delays in federal operations. That context was largely ignored. Instead, a handful of social influencers amplified by outlets like Science and Nature pushed a doomsday storyline that was far more dramatic than the underlying reality.

🎇🇺🇸 CDC Set to Officially Recognize COVID-19 Vax Injury with Unprecedented ICD-10 Diagnostic Code ATLANTA, GA, March 18, 2026 – For the first time in US history, a dedicated ICD-10 diagnostic code specific for adverse effects of COVID-19 vaccines is entering the formal process toward adoption by the CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics. The announcement is a major victory for those suffering from COVID-19 vaccine injury around the country. @React19org , the science-based non-profit offering financial, physical, and emotional support for those suffering from long-term Covid-19 vaccine adverse events globally, proposed the idea for the dedicated code. The proposal will now enter a 60-day public comment period, with the potential to be included in the U.S. system as early as 2027. Currently, no ICD-10-CM code identifies these injuries, making it difficult to properly track, study, or treat them at scale. This new code begins to change that, creating a pathway for clinical recognition, accurate documentation, research, and ultimately better care. Submitted by Joel Wallskog, co-founder of React19, this adoption marks an important step toward clinical recognition, accurate documentation, and future research. T50.B25x – Adverse effect of COVID-19 vaccines X= 3 designations: A initial encounter; D subsequent encounter; S sequela "You cannot treat what you cannot name. Today, we took a critical step toward naming these conditions—and changing the future for patients,” said Wallskog. While the adoption of the ICD-10-CM code and recognition of those suffering are steps in the right direction, advocates from React19 are urging the Trump administration to establish nationwide care centers where injured individuals can receive treatment and recover. REACT19 strongly encourages those who support patient recognition and care to participate once the official public comment period begins. Details on how to submit comments will be shared soon. For more information, please visit https://react19.org.

Tesla fans using the “4-second disengagement” as a gotcha are missing the forest for the trees. Yes, the driver was technically in control of the vehicle at the moment of impact. But she was in control because FSD was already failing by driving too fast ahead of this sharp turn — it was heading straight into a concrete barrier at highway speed with no sign of correcting. Everyone who has frequently used FSD or Autopilot and paints this 4-second disengagement as a “gotcha” moment is being disengenous, and that includes Elon Musk. I have tens of thousands of miles on FSD, and I’ve experienced the system coming too fast into a turn at least half a dozen times. We’ve said this before and we’ll keep saying it: the problem with FSD isn’t what happens when the driver is paying attention and the system works. The problem is what happens when the system gives you every reason to trust it, and then suddenly doesn’t work. The driver has to recognize the failure, assess the situation, decide on a correction, and physically execute it, all in less time than the system needs to create the danger. Musk and Tesla’s propagandists can point to the logs all they want. The video shows what actually matters: FSD approaching a standard highway curve at full speed with zero indication it was going to navigate it. That’s the failure. Everything that happened after, including the panicked disengagement, is a consequence of that failure. The framing that this was “manual driving, not FSD” is technically true for the final 4 seconds and deeply dishonest about the full sequence of events. It’s exactly the kind of liability shell game that courts are increasingly rejecting, as that $243 million verdict makes clear. Tesla created the system, sold it as “Full Self-Driving,” and profits from the ambiguity. At some point, it has to own the consequences.
