Baker Hughes meldet für Ende März nur noch 543 aktive Bohranlagen (zweite Woche in Folge Rückgang, 8,3 % zum Vorjahr). Das ist zwar kein neues Problem, zeigt aber, das Investoren kein besonders großes Interesse mehr an Ölfelder haben.
Die Neuerschließung ist rückläufig. Hinzukommt das sogenannte Gas-Takeaway-Problem im Permian Basin, es bremst zusätzliche Ölbohrungen und ist zudem ein klassischer Engpass im US-Schieferöl-Geschäft.
Was ist das Permian Basin?
Das Permian Basin (West-Texas und Südost-New Mexico) ist das größte und produktivste Ölfeld der USA. Es liefert aktuell ca. 6,2–6,7 Mio. Barrel Öl pro Tag (rund 45 % der gesamten US-Ölproduktion) plus riesige Mengen Erdgas.
Bei der Ölbohrung im Permian (meist Schiefer/Fracking) kommt nicht nur Öl aus dem Boden, sondern automatisch sehr viel begleitendes Erdgas. Je reifer das Feld wird, desto höher steigt das Gas-Öl-Verhältnis (Gas-Takeaway), und genau hier liegt der Knackpunkt.
Was bedeutet „Gas-Takeaway“?
„Takeaway“ = Abtransport-Kapazität. Das Gas muss über Pipelines aus dem Permian heraus zu Verarbeitungsanlagen, zum Henry Hub (nationaler Markt), an die Golfküste (für LNG-Export) befördert werden. Doch ohne genügende Pipelines staut sich das Gas im Becken.
Erst ab frühestens Ende 2026/Anfang 2027 sollen neue Gas-Pipelines zur Verfügung stehen. Bis dahin bleibt das Problem bestehen und die Ölproduktionen bleiben auf dem aktuellen Stand, was die Ölpreise weiter in die Höhe treibt, solange sich die Situation im Nahen Osten nicht beruhigt.
Durch die Ölfelder wächst die Gasproduktion schneller als die Pipelines gebaut werden können.
Der Waha-Hub (zentraler Gas-Knotenpunkt im Permian) hat seit Jahren massive Engpässe. Die Preise dort sind oft negativ (z. B. -0,33 USD) – das heißt, Produzenten zahlen sogar dafür, dass jemand das Gas abnimmt. Ein Betrag, der von dem offiziellen Gasverkaufspreis abgezogen wird.
Das Abfackeln des Gases ist stark reguliert, teuer und ökologisch unerwünscht. Deshalb haben die USA auch niemals wirklich zu den Klimazielen gestanden, weil sie diese unter den hier beschriebenen aktuellen Bedingungen nicht einhalten können. Zuviel Gas muss abgefackelt werden und belastet die Umwelt enorm, wobei Gas natürlich nicht das einzige Umweltproblem in den USA ist.
Ergebnis: Das US-Ölsystem ist strukturell überlastet – selbst bei relativ stabiler Ölproduktion.
Im Vergleich zu den OPEC-Staaten liegen die USA auf Rang vier, wobei Länder wie beispielsweise Venezuela noch schlechter dastehen. Andere (OPEC-Staaten) wie: Saudi-Arabien und die UAE bilden positive Ausnahmen durch moderne Infrastruktur.
Zusammenfassend zeigt dieses Ergebnis auch, dass die strikte "kein GAS-Politik" der Umwelt mehr schadet als angenommen, es sei denn, man würde die weltweiten Ölproduktionen herunterfahren.
Würde mehr Gas abgenommen, müsste es wenigstens nicht planlos in die Atmosphäre abgefackelt werden. Somit wirkt sich u. a. auch die Sanktionierung Russlands im Gasbereich wenigstens indirekt negativ auf den grünen "Fußabdruck" der EU aus.
Was die hohen Benzinpreise und E-Autos betrifft. Sie sind derzeit nur eine Alternative für die jährlich schrumpfende Anzahl der Besserverdienenden. E-Autos sind für die Mehrheit der Deutschen unerschwinglich (42.000–48.000 €). Und dabei handelt es sich "nur" um ein Mittelklassefahrzeug mit einer Reichweite zwischen 400-500 Kilometer.
Einen realen Vorteil bieten sie zudem nur, wenn sie zu Hause geladen werden können und wegen des Wertverlustes mindestens fünf Jahre im Besitz bleiben. Dann liegen die Kosten bei circa 5,10–6,00 € pro 100 Kilometer.
Bei einem Schnellladen oder dem Laden an öffentlichen Plätzen liegen die Kosten bereits bei circa 9,35 – 14,00 €/100 km. Bei einem normalen Benzinpreis von 1,76/Liter wird es schon eng. Denn die Kosten für einen Verbrenner mit einem Durchschnittsverbrauch von 6,5 bis 7,5 Liter fordern vom Besitzer 12,32 Euro/100 km und könnten unter dem E-Preis liegen.
Die Welt ist unter der Federführung der USA wegen des US/Israelischen Angriffspakts gegen den Iran in einem riesen Dilemma, wobei der wahre Profiteur USA heißt. Da zahlt man auch schon mal gerne ein paar US-Dollar mehr an Abfackelgebühren zulasten der Umwelt.

Emma received the J & J shot on March 20th, 2021. During the first week and a half she experienced intermittent nausea, rapid heart rate, and headache, all of which they told her to expect when she received the vaccine.
In the early morning hours of April 2nd, she said her brain felt like it was vibrating. She vomited in bed, and had her first seizure. She was rushed by ambulance to the hospital, where they said she had a small brain bleed.
The bleeds continued and she developed Venous Sinus Thrombosis. Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) occurs when a blood clot forms in the brain’s venous sinuses. This prevents blood from draining out of the brain. As a result, blood cells break and leak blood into the brain tissues, forming a hemorrhage
On April 2nd, she was seizing constantly, her temperature shot up to 103, and her heart rate was in the 180's. Her heart looked like it was beating out of her chest.
They put her in a medically induced coma and intubated her. On April 3rd, she had her first of 3 brain surgeries to try and open the Venous Sinus.
They took her off the sedation meds and waited for her to wake up. She did not. On April 5th, her platelets were trending down, and they performed a 2nd brain surgery. The doctors met with us and said she was in grave danger, and they did not have any answers or further treatment to offer. They said it was caused by the J&J Vaccine,
On April 12th she had surgery to put in a tracheotomy and feeding tube. On April 13th we were told her brain injury affected her ability to regulate her heart rate and ability to swallow, Her throat filled up with saliva and she choked.
On April 15th, she responded to me her mother . She stuck out her tongue. She could not move any part of her body other than her tongue, but until that point, from all of the seizures, we feared she would be a vegetable if she even woke up.
April 17th she was moved out of CICU to ICU. On April 30th, Emma was transferred to the Acute Rehab Unit at Loma Linda, She was now a quadriplegic.
Over the years Emma has shown such resilience and with support and therapy she has regained some ability to walk
