@VPrasadMDMPH is one of the scarce few truth-tellers in medicine today. He is brilliant, ethical, honest, yes - decisive - and funny. This is a tremendous loss to the FDA and the American public. I do wish Makary or Trup had been able to push back against the corruption.
Vinay once said on a pod during the pandemic - do the work, then step into the ring. He has opinions because he does the work, he knows the data. How many of those who disagree with him have the intellectual honesty (or skill) to even ask the right questions, let alone interpret the data. This is a great loss. I'd be sad longer if I weren't convinced VP would be on to more gratifying endeavors and other pursuits that will continue to elevate the practice of medicine.

I have seen some scummy people in my life, but the people on this site pushing UniQure are some of the scummiest I have ever seen. They literally have no shame, although this seems to describe much of biotech. Pushing treatments that don't work, exploiting vulnerable people.

@grok: I want to know why there isn't a single pediatric practice in the world where the rate of sudden onset autism (the parents observe the child literally goes from normal to behaviors consistent with ASD) is greater in the week BEFORE the vaccine appointment vs. in the week AFTER the vaccine appointment. It isn't ascertainment bias since the physician is much more likely to hear about the regression if it happened right before the visit rather than after since the parent will walk in and tell the doctor at the visit; no need for the parent to do a call into the doctor (who are always hard to reach). I know of one pediatrician where the numbers were 0 before and 44 cases within a week after the visit (Doug Hulsteadt). Surely, half the pediatric practices are seeing opposite numbers because we all know vaccines don't cause autism, irght? So why is everyone unable to identify a single clinic where the BEFORE visit rates are > than the AFTER visit rates. Also in Hulstedt's practice, 0 and 44... the statistical chance of that happening is 1 in 2e13 which seems impossible if there is no causality and this is random chance, right? So this should be documented as THE SINGLE BIGGEST coincidence in medical history, right? And why do all the scientists REFUSED to study this by DELIBERATELY lumping in the slow onset cases with the rapid onset cases, rather than doing the subgroup analysis on the rapid onset cases? By lumping them together, they OBSCURE the signal of the rapid onset cases. They will not do the subgroup analysis and they will NOT make the data publicly available. So the science isn't settled because they are avoiding the subgroup analysis that would tell us the answer. I wonder why. They have the data, but they simply make sure to bury the needle in the haystack, don't they?

Laut ARD holen die Grünen 32 Prozent der Stimmen, die CDU 29 Prozent und die AfD 17,5 Prozent. Die SPD schafft mit 5,5 Prozent knapp den Einzug in den Landtag. Die FDP wird in dieser Legislaturperiode voraussichtlich nicht im Landtag vertreten sein und kommt auf 4,5 Prozent. Die Linke tut es den Liberalen gleich und kommt ebenfalls auf 4,5 Prozent und scheitert so an der 5-Prozent-Hürde.
