While Chris Whitty and co want to medicate us ALL with folic acid, the NHS continues to tell people to avoid it...
Also muss Social Media kaputtreguliert werden.
Völlig logischer Move.
Alternative medicine is no alternative. It doesn’t work and may kill people. In science, we must be prepared to question everything, also deeply held beliefs, using logic and scientific methods. If we do this, the whole field falls apart: https://bit.ly/4bF8JmW.

In academic research, when scholar A publishes a finding and scholar B publishes a contradictory finding, they have to figure out why they disagree. Is there a flaw in one methodology? Are they measuring different things? Is there a logical inconsistency somewhere? The search for coherence drives the process.
This search for logical consistency and coherence has been the most powerful engine of intellectual progress for thousands of years. Socrates started it. Every serious thinker since then has continued it. The willingness to find and resolve contradictions is what separates real thinking from mere opinion.
People are unhappy with the economy because we shut down a country for a virus and printed 7 trillion dollars.
Just thought it would be helpful to remind everyone where inflation came from.
So kindly, don’t support destroying your money the next time someone gets the sniffles.

È avere lo spirito sveglio fino all’ultimo giorno.
"Herbert Simon’s causality papers from the early 1950s have achieved recognition far beyond their original econometric context, becoming foundational for multiple fields that barely existed when he wrote them. The intervention-based conception of causality that Simon formalized has become the dominant framework in program evaluation, causal inference, and policy analysis.
Computer scientists building causal discovery algorithms cite Simon’s 1952 and 1953 papers as pioneering the graphical approach to representing causal structure. Philosophers analyzing counterfactual reasoning trace their frameworks to Simon’s emphasis on intervention and invariance. Researchers in machine learning developing methods for inferring causation from data draw on Simon’s insights about identifiability.
Yet the synthesis Simon never completed, between formal causal structure and bounded causal learning, remains unfinished even as modern approaches have developed tools Simon lacked."

Post-communism, the economies of the Balkans have grown rapidly but populations have collapsed by 20% - 30%, with no end in sight. These are also the most rapidly aging nations on Earth.
At some point, depopulation becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy: who wants to have children in an old, dying nation? Who wants to spend their prime working years in such a place?
Couldn’t agree more, @DrJMarine.
It’s silly to say you’re not coercing patients when you’re punishing them for disagreeing with you. Plus, taking care of patients who choose not to do the things we want them to do? That used to just be called “the practice of medicine.” It’s also part of being a good doctor!
As a highly-vaccinated cardiologist, I cannot believe that anyone could accept such an absurd claim as that made in this paper. A 76% reduction in MACE would make covid shots the most effective cardiovascular therapy in human history. This is just magical thinking and an illustration of the uselessness of this type of biased and confounded retrospective analysis. Another illustration of the epistemic crisis that medicine is in today.
The NIH announced the opening of the East Palestine Train Derailment Health Research Program Office. The new research office will “assess and address the long-term health outcomes stemming from the 2023 train derailment in the community.”
Commenting on this, Secretary Kennedy said, “NIH’s research hub offers the people of East Palestine a pathway to the clear answers about their health they deserve. Everyone affected by this environmental disaster deserves access to independent, gold-standard science that puts their well-being first.”
NIH Director Dr. Bhattacharya added, “This research program is designed to bring rigorous, independent science directly to the community. By establishing a local presence, we can better engage residents, support enrollment in studies, and ensure the research reflects the real experiences and concerns of the people affected.”
On the same day, Dr. Bhattacharya testified before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee on modernizing research and biosafety.
During his testimony, the NIH Director said, “The United States is still the single best place in the world to have a career in biomedical research… The NIH is absolutely committed to finding ways to give [researchers] the training you need and the support you need to try your ideas out because that’s the only way we’re going to make America healthier.”
The NIH Director also confirmed that research funded by the agency discovered a cure for sickle cell anemia.
The HHS announced the appointment of Diana Diaz-Harrison as the new National Autism Coordinator. According to the HHS, “Diaz-Harrison is a nationally recognized autism and disability advocate with experience across education, healthcare, workforce development, and community-based systems, including founding and leading autism-focused charter schools. In this role, she will help advance collaboration across HHS and federal partners to better support individuals with autism and their families.”
Commenting further on the Great American Recovery initiative, Secretary Kennedy said, “Addiction thrives in isolation. Recovery begins with reconnection—to community, to purpose, and to something greater than ourselves.” Kennedy also thanked President Trump for being the driving force behind what he called a compassionate approach to addiction and recovery.
CMS Administrator Dr. Oz commented on a decision by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons to recommend against sex-rejecting operations for young people. According to Dr. Oz, “When the medical ethics textbooks of the future are written, they’ll look back on sex-rejecting procedures for minors the way we look back on lobotomies. I applaud The American Society of Plastic Surgeons for placing itself on the right side of history by opposing these dangerous, unscientific experiments.”

Saturated fat is called "saturated" because every carbon atom is saturated with hydrogen.
This means no double bonds. No reactive sites. Chemically stable.
Polyunsaturated fat has multiple double bonds.
These double bonds are reactive sites where oxygen attaches and creates lipid peroxides.
Lipid peroxides are inflammatory compounds that damage cell membranes, mitochondria, and DNA.
When you eat saturated fat, it remains chemically intact in your body.
When you eat polyunsaturated fat from seed oils, it oxidizes inside your cells and creates years of inflammatory damage.
This is basic chemistry. Not controversial. Just ignored.
Because the food industry needs seed oils for cheap production costs and shelf stability.
Your cellular health is not their priority.
This is laughable. Apparently our governments spend billions trying, and failing, to engineer viruses but a Chinese guy can do it in his house (with lodgers present).

I'm really glad the House Judiciary committee has stayed on top of this. Foreign governments should not have a veto on American free speech rights.
We’re expected to believe Epstein single-handedly managed a decades-long "Satanic agenda" across the West while essentially treating the Caribbean like his personal backyard.
The "solitary man" narrative isn't just a stretch; it's a structural failure of common sense.

The only thing wrong with this analysis is the assumption that the liberal capture of the education system is effective in converting the children of conservatives: on the whole, it is not (as seen by the fact that 81% of children of conservatives become conservative).
