Sage und schreibe 17 Prozent der deutschen „Entwicklungshilfe“ fließen nicht etwa in den Brunnenbau oder die Infrastruktur in Entwicklungsländern, sondern werden direkt hier in Deutschland für die Unterbringung und Versorgung von Asylbewerbern aufgewendet. Das ist kein entwicklungspolitisches Engagement, das ist ein schlichter Etikettenschwindel. Man nutzt den Deckmantel der internationalen Hilfe, um die explodierenden Kosten der eigenen, völlig aus dem Ruder gelaufenen Migrationspolitik buchhalterisch zu verschleiern.
Doch auch die Gelder, die tatsächlich das Land verlassen, versickern in einem ineffizienten, ideologisch getriebenen Sumpf. Der staatliche Entwicklungsdienstleister, die GIZ, ist längst zu einem Selbstbedienungsladen für Bürokraten verkommen.
