Ein weiterer Antrag zur Haftverkürzung wurde eingereicht. Am Wochenende hat Heinrich in der Regel von Samstag auf Sonntag Freigang und darf Zeit mit seiner Familie verbringen.
Am 14. Mai 2026 (Himmelfahrtstag) wird Heinrich Habig im Rahmen der „Aachener Auszeichnung für Menschlichkeit“ in Aachen geehrt und wird diese Auszeichnung voraussichtlich im Rahmen eines Freigangs selbst entgegennehmen können.
